If anyone knows anything about Elizabeth Patterson's family please write it on here, as she is some relation to me.

I am going to cite "Arthur Wellesly's elder brother" as a seperate individual, since he is a notable historical figure in his own right, particularly as concerns India and Ireland. --V. Joe 21:34, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Father's Origins

The article says that her father was born in Ireland. However, another article^[1] says that her uncle was born in Scotland. Of course, it is possible that the brothers were not born in the same country, but the Wikipedia does not cite its source. It seems likely that William Patterson was actually born in Scotland and not Ireland. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.68.168.162 (talk) 22:18, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This website^[2] says that William Patterson was born in Donegal, Ireland in 1752. The article on Robert Patterson says that he was born in Renfrew, Scotland in 1732. Also, Patterson is a Scottish name. It seems likely that the family was originally from Scotland and moved to Ireland between 1732 and 1752. It would be good if this could be confirmed.
